Drawing Fundamentals

Service Description

The act of drawing is not magic. With the proper direction and practice of mechanics, anyone can improve their skill level. This class is designed to teach those with the desire to improve skills to do so. The first three classes focus solely on mechanics/technique, and the final three on working from both 2D and 3D references. This 6 week class focuses only on drawing using line - shading practices are not covered. Students will need to provide the following materials: An 8"x10" (or similarly sized) sketchbook. No specific paper required. An 18"x24" Newprint Pad. White Eraser A blue erasable pencil such as the Prismacolor's Col-Erase Colored Pencil. Best results will be achieved when students dedicate some time to practice in between classes. Dates: Tuesdays from 6-8 PM from Sept. 24th - Oct. 29th. Tuition: $180 + $5 for supplementary materials. Please Note: This class is very similar to the one offered last Spring. If you choose to sign up, know instruction will not vary much.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes things come up after you've registered for a class. Please understand that once a class is set to run, materials have been purchased in preparation and that minimums need to be maintained to run classes. Our canellation policy for classes is as follows: Registrants cancelling for a class more than 14 days in advance are given a 100% Refund or credit for a future class. 8-13 days in advance provides a 100% credit for a future class, but no refunds. 3-7 days in advance provides a 50% credit towards a future class. Those cancelling within 48 hours of a class, or who fail to show up for a class forfeit their tuition fee.
