Acrylic Painting for Beginners

Service Description

In this introductory class with Jennifer Gillooly Cahoon, students will create a series of small paintings (6"x6" and 8"x10") on both canvas board and stretched canvas. A variety of subject mater will be approached with certain techniques frequently repeated such as creating gradations, mixing tints and shades, and creating a sense of form through both shading and basic perspective. By the end of the 6 week session, students will have many basic skills in their toolbox to carry forward with them in future practice. No previous experience required. All materials included. Cancellation Policy

We understand that sometimes things come up after you've registered for a class. Please understand that once a class is set to run, materials have been purchased in preparation and that minimums need to be maintained to run classes. Our canellation policy for classes is as follows: Registrants cancelling for a class more than 14 days in advance are given a 100% Refund or credit for a future class. 8-13 days in advance provides a 100% credit for a future class, but no refunds. 3-7 days in advance provides a 50% credit towards a future class. Those cancelling within 48 hours of a class, or who fail to show up for a class forfeit their tuition fee.
