Service Description
Living creatively is not a luxury. It’s a necessity. specially now when authentic human expression is so deeply needed. Creativity also might not mean what you think it does. Creativity is part of our life force. However, our creative drive often gets lost in all the daily “stuff” that gets thrown at us. If you want to get back in touch with that part of yourself, this workshop is for you. If you feel anxious but also think taking care of yourself is selfish when so much is wrong then this workshop is for you! If you are deeply worried about how we heal from the chaos of the world right now as well as your place in the repair, this workshop is for you! Intermodal expressive arts therapies means using multiple expressive art modalities in a single experience. You will be led through a journey of self-expression that facilitates your ability to access expression from all parts of the self through movement, image making, words and music. All our work in this workshop will be based on the questions of purpose: What CAN I do? What is my place here? *This is an experiential workshop So wear comfy clothes and be ready to move! We’ll be using oil and chalk pastels for the visual artmaking portion of the day. If you are looking for a workshop to pick up a specific new skill or have a lovely art piece to show friends and family then this might not be what you’re looking for. However, you will learn about yourself and maybe even develop a new creative process!
